On the road again..just can't wait 'til we're on the road again.

Well, that tune is most tolerable right now for our Lakers.
In the opening minutes of the game against New Orleans, Pau
Gasol swished a jump shot off a pass from Kobe Bryant.
Victory was ours at 101-95 Saturday playing the Hornets
on our first of 7-game trip. By games end Pau had scored
a season-best 34 points on 13 for 17 shooting, grabbed a
team-leading 10 rebounds, added 3 assists & continued
aggresively within the Lakers triangle offense. Toward the
end, when the Lakers had staved off the Hornets last charge,
Gasol leaped up for a rebound, let out a yell and dribbled
out of danger as the buzzer sounded on the Lakers third
victory this season over New Orleans.
Andrew Bynum played in his 26th. game of the season,
making his 19th. start on Saturday, scoring 12 points
on 5-8 shooting, 7 rebounds, 2 assists & one block
in 28 minutes, 20 seconds.
Mondays' game against Memphis was a hard won game.
Another victory however with score of: 93-84.
This was an important game for us to win. Travel begins
to get a bit tougher with the upcoming game in Boston
looming in the near future and with the Celtics it always
is difficult to slice through the hostilities. In Memphis,
Pau had 17 points, Odom had 15, Artest 13, Andrew
Bynum
11 points and Derek Fisher 10..all in double figures.
No matter what was acceptable or what was said, the longest
road trip
of the season ends with Feb. 14th. playing in Charlotte,
and Feb. 16th. in Cleveland but first we must face the Boston
Celtics
this Thursday and then on to New York on Friday and
down to Orlando on Sunday. It is grueling and long but so far
we have braved the storm. Be nice for a 7-0 record road trip,
wouldn't it though? Hopeful to be successful.
